Notes:
- Even in the early stage of Takayasu arteritis, reduced ocular circulation may occur, although no obvious structural abnormalities are visible on fundus examination.
- Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) can sensitively detect decreases in ocular blood flow, and when combined with OCTA, it enables early identification of ischemia.
- In this case, steroid therapy led to a rapid improvement in blood flow, which could be tracked using LSFG.
- Reference LSFG baseline values are based on overseas data, so racial factors such as pigmentation differences should be considered.
